Uganda’s pre-shipment inspection certification is mandatory, and the following items are subject to certification.
– Agriculture food
– Electrical and electronic products
– ICT
– Instrument
– Chemical
– Industrial products
– Toy
– Fire fighting supplies
– Personal protective equipment
Uganda has regulated imports since June 2012 by conducting pre-shipment inspections on all imported products.
All shipped products must be inspected by a pre-shipment inspection agency to receive a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to certify the suitability of the product and allow imports to be cleared.
