Thailand’s Ministry of Industry has recently issued regulations regarding the compliance procedures for portable auxiliary batteries in relation to safety requirements.
Therefore, in order to ship secondary batteries to the Thai market, manufacturers must comply with the national safety standard TIS 2879-2560.
This is a measure to control the safety and quality of this type of product and to prevent further accidents due to the use of an unsafe portable power supply.
This regulation takes effect on or after November 16, 2020.
