“Chestny znak (Fair label)” is Russia’s integrated national tracking and tracking system, coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The main goal of the system is to ensure the quality of products purchased by customers, and all industries in Russia are planning to participate in the system for up to 2024 years.

According to the Decree No. 792-r of the Government of the Russian Federation, products in the following categories are subject to madatory marking.

– Tobacco products

– Perfume and eau de toilette

– Tyres and tyre casings

– Garments

– Knit / jersey tops

– Long and short coats, windbreakers

– Bed linen, table linen, bath and kitchen linen

– Footwear

– Photo cameras and flashbulbs

The requirements for marking are implemented in stages, and the first rule regarding footwear marking is mandatory from March 1, 2020. In other workds, from March 1, 2020, the production and import of shoes without proper marking is prohibited, and from March 1, 2020, information about the system’s production process, import and wholesale and retail transactions must be registered.

Administrative fines apply for the sale of products without identification markings, and for storage, transportation or acquisition of those products for further sale.

For corporations (company), the fine is 50,000 – 300,000 RUB with the forfeiture of each product.
