NTA announced a new frequency band policy 2080.
According to the new policy, updates are as follows:
- The allowed 5Ghz band was extended to 5.150-5.350 GHz, 5.470 – 5.650 GHz and 5.725 – 5.825 GHz.
- 865-868 MHz has been allocated for IoT, M2M and smart metering operating in non-cellular mode in an unprotective and non-exclusive shared basis.
- UWB is now allowed for SRD applications in 6.0~8.5 GHz frequency band.
