The Moroccan government agency announced on July 29, 2019 that it wuold postpone the implementation of the reules on the Moroccan Safety Conformity Mark.
The enforcement date will be delayed until December 31, 2019.
Mark is the law No. “Safety of products and services”. It was enacted by 24-09.
The law sets the framework for importers or manufacturers to label products that comply with the requirements of the law.
As a result, the following equipment must comply with safety reules and regulatory technical requirements and be marked with a new mark.
- Low voltage electrical equipment (LVD) designed for use at rated voltages of AC 50-1000V and DC 75-1500V.
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of equipment (does not include wireless communication equipment or communication terminals)
- Toys
Manufacturers and importers have the following obligations:
- Product Evaluation
- Declaration of conformity in Arabic
- Ten years of technical documentation in Morocco since last shipment
- Attach the required marking on the product at the end of the process.
These companies have a grace period that complies with label requirements.
In the statement, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Digital Economy stated that products must be marked on August 1, 2019.
A new statement has been issued stating that label requirements for regulated products will be extended to December 31, 2019.
Beginning January 1, 2020, the product itself shall be marked with the conformity mark required by the manufacturer.
Imported products must be adhered to before arriving at Morrocan Customs for customs clearance.

The mark must be marked and readable on the instrument or data plate.
The vertical dimension of mark “C” must be at least 6mm.
If the device is too small or not suitable for attachment to the product, it must be attached to the packaging and attached documents.
