On February 26, 2020, IFETEL published a new technica standard IFT-012-2019 for SAR, which will go into effect one year after the announcement date.
Applicable technical standards apply to devices with radio frequency transmitters or transceiver, devices that use radio spectrum or connect to communication networks in the frequency range of 30MHz to 6GHz, and devices used in case a) and b).
a) In the frequency band 300MHz to 6GHz, near the head, especially near the ears
b) In the frequency range of 30MHz to 6GHz, the range is less than 200mm from the human body
This rule is not limited to devices with WWAN function, and applies to all types of products with RF function that contact the human body up to 200mm. So this includes desktops, laptops, headphones, etc.
Currently, there are no accredited laboratories and accreditation bodies for these standards.
