MCMC announced the second revision of the SRD specification on May 6, 2020.
Major changes relate to the tecnical requirements of new SRD applications such as ultra-wideband (UWB), guidance devices and automotive radars, as well as the frequency band and maximum transmit power limitations for general and specific SRD applications.
In addition, new requirements have been created regarding safety and EMC regulations. Therefore, SRDs that are directly connected to the service provider’s network must meet MS IEC 60950-1, IEC 62368-1, or equivalent standard requirements.
In addition, SRDs that connect directly or indirectly to the AC network and directly to the service provider’s network must comply with conducted emission requirements in accordance with ETSI EN 301 489-1 or CISPR 32 or equivalent standards.
