SPDDI published a communication device certification procedure to clarify the certification process of communication equipment in relation to the test report requirements during the COVID-19 period on May 20, 2020.

 

 

According to this, all communication devices manufactured and assembled in Indonesia must be certified, and already certified products must pass the recertification process every three years.

–> To apply for a new certificate, you must provide a test report for the equipment.

 

 

However, if the applicant is unable to provide all required reports, a signed / stamped statement may be submitted declaring that the entire report will be submitted within 6 months with a portion of the report (eg EMC or RF test result).

 

 

Otherwire, the following administrative sanctions will ocuur.

– Certificate revocation

– Recall duty of commercially available communication devices

 

 

–> To apply for recertification, it is necessary to consider the change.

 

 

If there are no major changes to the device, the old test report can be provided, otherwise the applicant must provide a new test report. If the full test report cannot be provided, the applicant must sign and seal the document declaring that the full test report will be provided within at least six months with some test reports.

 

 

 

 

Otherwire, the following administrative sanctions will ocuur.

– Certificate revocation

– Recall duty of commercially available communication devices

 

 

 

This is valid until an accredited government agency in Indonesia expires a certain emergency condition in COVID-19.
