The Ministry of Textiles of India has issued a new regulation for personal protective equipment (PPE), and accordingly, PPE parts and fabrics for manufacturing PPE equipment must have a new unique certification code (UCC) and tamper proof sticker after passing the test.

Currently, only 8 laboratories have been approved by NABL for testing PPE devices required for COVID-19 protection.

The expiration date of the UCC code can be found in the documentation provided in the test lab, which contains information such as the UCC code number, manufacturer identification, standard number applied to the product, and expiration date.
