The EAEU has recently adopted the “Technical Regulations Restricting the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products” (EAEU TR 037/2016), which will be mandatory from 2020.
This technical regulation applies to products in the following categories:
1. Household electrical appliances and appliances
2. Electronic computing devices and devices connected to them
3. Communication facility
4. Photocopier and other electric office equipment
5. Electric tools
6. Light source and lighting equipment
7. Electronic instrument
8. Gambling and Vending Macines
9. Catch register, ticket printer, identity card reader
10. Cables, wires and cords used at rated voltage not exceeding 500V AC / DC, except fiber optic cables
11. Circuit breakers and protective breakers
12. Fire detectors, security detectors and combinations thereof
Therefore, requirements for electrical technology and wireless electronics will be added in relation to RoHS, and the requirements for EAEU TR 037/2016 will be mandatory starting March 1, 2020.
