CITC has released new requirements for products with eSIM cards.
All mobile phones, tablets, PDAs, etc. that operate on cellular networks and support eSIM function must have an International Mobile Equipment Dentity (IMEI) number printed on the outside of the device and the requirements are as follows.
– The IMEI number must be clear and non-removable
– The IMEI number must be attached to the SIM tray, inseparable back or other accessible location
– CITC may request samples during the review process
There is no special format on the IMEI label, only the IMEI number is clear and printed so that it cannot be removed.
