New standard GB / T 38418-2019 for donated fabrics in China released
This standard specifies the terms and definition of donated fabrics, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and labeling, and is received after disinfection and maintenance by public welfare agencies and other agencies. It is applied to textile products that can.
However, donated textile products for infants are excluded.
The standard specifies two categories of products:
– Category I: Unused textile products, including single products donated by individuals and organizations, and bulk products donated by factories.
– Category II: professionally ssterilized used textile products.
In addition to the GB / T 38418-2019 requirements, each category must meet the requirements of the following standards.
– GB 18401: National general safety technical code for textile products
– GB 31701: Safety technical code for infant and children textile products
– GB / T 18383: General technical requirements for products with filling materials
The GB / T 38418-2019 standard goes into effect on July 1, 2020.
