Belarus: EAC, On-site Factory inspections became mandatory

On 27^th March, Bellis released the official notice that the Certification Body shall conduct the factory inspection on-site at the product manufacturing facility, When performing EAEU certification of series manufactured products.

Details of the official notice are as follows:

1. Factory Inspection Reports

• From February 2024, factory inspection reports issued by foreign Certification Bodies in accordance with CIG023 cannot be accepted by BELLIS Certification Body.
• EAEU TR (EAC) Bellis Certificates issued before February 2024 for series manufactured products based on CIG023 factory inspection reports remain valid until their expiry date.

2. In case a certification application is submitted for products manufactured at two or more factories

• The on-site factory inspection is performed at the factory which produces the biggest range of certified products or most complex products.
• As the periodic surveillance, the on-site factory inspection is performed on the secondary factory twice during the 5 year validity period of the EAEU TR (EAC) Certificate.
• The first periodic surveillance is performed not earlier than 18 months from the EAC Certificates issue (inspection of 1^st factory) date.
