Uganda UNBS has released a revised manual for PVoC.
UNBS has implemented a pre-export verification(PVoC) program since June 1, 2019.
PVoC is a inspection and verification grogram for products. Under the scope of the program, exporters and importers of all products that fall within the scope of PVocC must obtain a certificate of conformity before shipping the product.
The applicable product categories of PVoC are:
– Toys
– Electrical and electronics including solar equipment
– Automotive products and inputs
– Chemical products
– Mechanical materials and gas appliances
– Textiles, leather, plastics and rubber
– Furniture including wood and metal
– Paper and stationery
– Protective safety equipment
– Food and food products
– Used commodities including automotive products
